The Cava Restaurant in Pissouri was a late change to the planned return visit to The Woody gastropub in the same village. Inconveniently for us as well as the owners and employees, the restaurant suffered a disastrous fire in which it was completely destroyed.
Carol and Rick Willey organised a magnificent meat meze (with alternatives for the vegetarians) at short notice, Cava opening specially for us. Unusually, and attractively, the different meats were served together on a wooden platter.
A lesson learned was that diners should not change their food order without consulting with the organiser; as the restaurant had opened specially for us all meals ordered had to be paid for.
